Teens For Tomorrow
Teens for Tomorrow, or T4T, is part of a nationwide trend that allows local teens to lead and support change through philanthropy. T4T provides opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills and create positive change.

T4T is comprised of 35-40 teens in grades 9-12 from each high school in Rock Island and Scott Counties. Students meet once a month from October-June to identify community needs and address emerging issues. Students are then provided with $5,000 from the Community Foundation to become a part of the solution.

During the nine-month program, teens:

- Visit local non-profit organizations
- Learn about philanthropy
- Volunteer
- Become active citizens

“T4T is a unique program that allows teens to make an impact in the community. We granted money to organizations most of us never even knew existed and we made a difference in the lives of many people.” Chris Betzle, T4T Alumni.

T4T allows students to learn:

- Skills in grant making
- Skills in communicating and working with others
- Leadership
- Sensitivity to people who have different experiences
- Increased confidence
- Experience in giving back and contributing to the community
- Opportunities to participate in volunteer opportunities
- Teamwork
